Fifteen hundred men on their knees before Our Blessed Mother in Slovakia

On Sunday morning, on the 2nd of September, the Icon of Czestochowa peregrinated to Žilina from the hot springs of Rajecké Teplice.  There, in front of the cathedral, Our Lady was welcomed by the canon, Fr. Anton Noga, who presided over the first celebrated Liturgy of the Eucharist.  The following Mass was celebrated by Fr. Ladislav Stromček, vicar general of the Diocese of Žilina.

CF NEWS : Did all of your family take part?

KATERINA UCHÁCOVÁ : My husband Radim drove to Bielsko-Biale, Poland along with our photographer and cameraman to meet Ewa and Lech Kowalewski and take over the Icon on the ’Life-Mobil’. I joined my husband at the second stop, in Olomouc, Czech Republic. Our children joined us in Prague. Our youngest son went with us all the way from Prague to Bratislava and then back home.

She has arrived despite of lost wheel

Saturday morning, after Mass in Trnava, Our Blessed Mother went to visit an old Marian shrine, well known for its pilgrimages.  The shrine is called Staré Hory (like the mountains) and is located near the town of Banská Bystrica.  The additional good news was the fact that this visit fell on the first Saturday of the month.  Around one thousand faithful were already awaiting the arrival of the Icon.

Slovakia warmly greets Our Blessed Mother

On Friday afternoon, on August 31st, the Czestochowa Icon crossed the border between the Czech Republic and Slovakia.  The peregrination in this country will last until September 8th, after which "She" will be transferred over to the Hungarians.  The Orthodox priest, Fr. Libor Serafin Halik, father of a large family, had brought the Icon from Brno, Czech Republic.

On Thursday, August 30th, the Icon of Czestochowa travelled on the most frequented highway from Prague to Brno.  There, the Icon stopped in the city square at the Franciscan church of the Friars Minor (so called Minorites), under the patronage of St. John the Baptist.  Our Lady of Czestochowa was welcomed with the solemn fanfares of Jasna Gora (Bright Hill).

On Wednesday, August 29th, Our Blessed Mother in the Czestochowa Icon in Her peregrination "from Ocean to Ocean" in defense of life has arrived at the capital of the Czech Republic - Prague.  In the morning, Our Lady visited one of the largest parishes, the parish of Our Lady Queen of Peace in Lhotka.  This church is one of the twelve churches that was built by the Czech Catholics as an act of reparation for the breaking of  the column with the statue of Our Lady in the Old City Square in 1918.

Whether the World will continue to exist, is dependent on our Freedom

On Tuesday, August 28th, the Icon of Czestochowa, visiting the Czech Republic, departed Olomouc and headed for Koclířov, near Hradec Kralove.  The church bells ringing and numerous faithful expressing their joy by clapping, welcomed Our Lady in the Icon.  Once inside the church, people prayed for the intention of the protection of life, families, and the Czech nation.

On August 27th, the peregrinating Icon in defense of life on Czech soil has arrived at Olomouc.  It was escorted by a vehicle motorcade.  To welcome Our Lady, the cathedral bells were ringing and Salve Regina was sung as the Icon was brought inside the sanctuary of the Cathedral of St.

Mother, forgive the Czech Hussites who have wounded You so!

On August 26th, on the Feast of Our Lady of Czestochowa in the afternoon, the Icon's visit to the Czech Ostrava was celebrated.  The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass was celebrated by Bishop František Lobkowic, the Ordinary of the Ostrava-Opava Diocese.  He addressed Our Blessed Mother with these words, "I would like to apologize to You, Mary Our Lady of Czestochowa

Ostrava – Our Blessed Mother welcomed in the Czech Republic

Our Lady in "Her" Life Mobile has arrived in Ostrava with great panache led by three motorcycles from Poland and also nine flagged vehicles.  In front of the parish church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Ostrava, near the monastery of the Pauline Fathers, awaited several priests and numerous faithful with their families — the elderly, the young and children.  Excitement and joy was vivid on their faces.
